EU Commissioner Magnus Brunner to participate in Global Refugee Forum Progress Review and meet with key leaders of the UN system
During his visit, Commissioner Brunner will meet with senior representatives from leading international organizations, including the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the Director-General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).
Commissioner Brunner will deliver a keynote address at the Opening Session of the Global Refugee Forum Progress Review, where he will reaffirm the European Union’s commitment to strengthening collective action and advancing international partnerships. His intervention will highlight the EU’s dedication to effective, coordinated approaches in promoting a sustainable international protection framework and its unwavering support to multilateralism.
These meetings underscore the European Union’s resolve to promote comprehensive, collaborative solutions to global migration issues and to reinforce its role as a key partner in the international community’s efforts to safeguard human rights and support displaced populations.
