Roundtable on Reprisals against Human Rights Defenders, including for cooperation with the UN

The Roundtable will contribute to the following outcomes:
• Increased understanding among the wider UN membership and the UN system of the issue of reprisals against human rights defenders who engage with the UN;
• Increased commitment by all regional groups to respond to and prevent intimidation and reprisals;
• Discussion on steps towards closer cooperation between regional organizations and the UN to provide protection for human rights defenders engaging with the UN.
