European Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a Competitive Circular Economy, Jessika Roswall is hosting a side event in the margins of the High-Level Week of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, bringing together leading global voices on water cooperation. 

 

The side event aims at discussing:

-             How to promote pathways towards global water resilience across sectors and different levels;

-             How to leverage technology, governance and finance innovations for boosting water resilience;  

-             How to enhance sustainable solutions for closing the financing gap in the water sector; 

-             How the UN and partner countries and organisations can join forces to enhance cooperation on water globally, including by strengthening global water governance, enhancing transboundary cooperation on water and mainstreaming water in international agreements and fora.

Keynote: Ms Inger Andersen, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme

Panel discussion moderated by Ms Sherry Madera, CEO of Climate Disclosure Platform.
