Ambassador Martin Selmayr – the EU is a reliable & predictable partner of the United Nations

We are in exceptionally challenging times. This is why the EU is and remains a reliable & predictable partner of the United Nations and committed to multilateralism. At FAO in Rome, Ambassador Martin Selmayr outlined today as EU Ambassador that support is given in making FAO fit for purpose to fight more efficiently hunger in the world. Work needs to be done every day on this. Any further reform of FAO must be based on broad consultations, Member-driven, inclusive, comprehensive, transparent, rules-and evidence based. And it must form an integral part of the UN80 initiative of Antonio Guterres.
