Ambassador Martin Selmayr at FAO’s World Food Forum (WFF) flagship event

Ambassador Martin Selmayr together with colleagues from Denmark, is representing the European Union as its Ambassador at FAO‘s World Food Forum, that opened on Monday 13 October with a passionate speech by Lula da Silva from Brazil. 

For the EU, strong & credible UN organisations who set international norms & standards, multilateralism and diplomacy are essential for a more peaceful, sustainable and just world. 

As members of FAO, the EU and its 27 Member State are working for a world free of hunger. FAO‘s 80th birthday this week is a good occasion to intensify our joint efforts.
