Ambassador Martin Selmayr welcomes Ukraine Ambassador to Villa Europa

The recent escalation of Russia’s brutal war of aggression in the Black Sea is a serious threat to global food security. 

Today, I expressed the EU’s unwavering solidarity with my colleague and friend Igor Brusylo, Ukraine’s hard-working Ambassador to the UN in Rome. 

We agreed to work closely together over the next weeks - to make sure that grain ships, ports and storage facilities are not attacked, but that grain reaches the hungry in the world.
