The European Union‘s Commissioner for Agriculture & Food, Christophe Hansen, is for the first time at FAO in Rome today. In challenging geopolitical times and right before the start of a crucial FAO Conference, he met FAO DG QU Dongyu to underline the EU‘s commitment to the UN system and to the rules-based international order, our interest in common rules & standards in the field of sustainable agrifood systems and the importance of the bioeconomy. The EU is and remains a reliable & predictable, but also demanding partner of FAO.
