The EU and its Member States go with a strong sense of urgency and unity into this week‘s Annual Session of WFP‘s Executive Board. Principled humanitarian action, helping those in need in the many crisis hotspots in the world and driving UN reform require a renewed willingness to find common solutions across regions. WFP has great, highly committed staff and strong, experienced leadership. We owe it to them to show - on this 30th anniversary of the Executive Board of WFP - that we are jointly capable of strengthening our multilateral cooperation in order to save lives and to change lives for the better.
