EU Heads of Missions to the UN meet at Villa Europa

The EU and its 27 Member States are active participants in the work of the three UN Organisations based in Rome: FAO, WFP and IFAD. Food security, sustainable agrifood systems and the fight against hunger in the world are our common mission. 

Today, the EU Heads of Missions to the UN in Rome met in Villa Europa to discuss the good results of the FAO Council last week, to prepare our positions for next week’s Executive Board of the WFP and to exchange views on the upcoming leadership renewal at WFP, IFAD and FAO. 

Unity and strategic efficiency will guide our further work. Because effective multilateralism needs a strong and united EU who helps brokering cross-regional consensus whenever possible.
