EU27 Heads of Missions meeting with San Marino

Very useful EU27 Heads of Missions meeting with the Head of the Government of San Marino, Secretary of State for Foreign and Political Affairs Luca Beccari, at Villa Europa in Rome. We exchanged views on the state of play of the EU’s Association Agreement with San Marino and Andorra and heard a very inspiring presentation of this agreement by Clara Martinez. 

Following more than 10 years of negotiations and taking into account the special relations between the EU and our very close neighbour San Marino, we gave strong support to the Cypriot Council Presidency and to the European Commission’s chief negotiator Maros Sefcovic to now move swiftly to the signature and provisional application of the Association Agreement.
