Farewell to Ambassador Frances Collins and Deputy Erin Swan

This week at Villa Europa in Rome, Ambassador Martin Selmayr and his Team said farewell to two great, committed and hard-working members of our Team Europe: Ireland’s Ambassador Frances Collins and her Deputy Erin Swan, who are both ending their mandate at the Irish Embassy to the Holy See this summer.

Frances and Erin have been strong partners in making a united EU, based on common values, visible in Rome and to join us as strong defenders of principled multilateralism, international solidarity and the fight against climate change.

We thank them again for their gift - a print of Irish missionary Saint Colombanus - one of the “Fathers of Europe” - for the EU Delegation in Rome.
