Ambassador Martin Selmayr together with the diplomatic corps in Rome, attended today a Mass on the Aventine hill in Rome on the occasion of the Feast of Saint John the Baptist, the Patron of the Order of Malta. 

The EU and 19 of its Member States have diplomatic relations with this unique subject of international law, which is one of the world’s oldest and largest humanitarian organisations. The Sovereign Order of Malta provides humanitarian, medical and social assistance impartially in 120 crisis hot spots in the world, including in Ukraine, Lebanon and Gaza, and facilitates mediation in international conflicts.
