The Mediterranean is a key region for transboundary water cooperation - in the interest of access to clean and affordable water, which is a human right and a global public good.
The second Ministerial Meeting on Water of the Union for the Mediterranean, hosted by Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani, took place yesterday in Rome.
Ambassador Martin Selmayr was honoured to support EU Commissioner for Environment, Water Resilience and a competitive Circular Economy Jessika Roswall, in co-chairing this meeting on behalf of the European Union together with the Jordanian Minister of Water and Irrigation Raed Abu Saoud.
