About the campaign
The campaign, titled "International Women's Day: Voices of Women from the UAE and EU", aims to promote intergenerational dialogue between women from different backgrounds to discuss women's issues. The focus is on bringing together the perspectives and experiences of women of different ages and backgrounds to promote a shared understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing women today.
Throughout the campaign, short video vignettes featuring pairs of remarkable women from the UAE and the EU will be released, covering different themes related to gender equality and women's empowerment. These women will share their insights on how to advance gender equality and empower women, responding to thought-provoking questions that will provoke deeper reflection on the issues.
The EU and the UAE have both made significant strides towards empowering women in their respective regions. The EU has been at the forefront of gender equality, with policies and initiatives that promote women's participation and leadership in all sectors of society, including through our Gender Equality Strategy. On the other hand, the UAE has made remarkable progress in recent years, with a number of initiatives aimed at increasing women's participation in the workforce and promoting their leadership in various fields.
By working together, the EU and the UAE can build on their respective strengths and experiences to create a more equal and empowering future for women both within their countries and beyond. This campaign is just one example of the EU and the UAE's commitment to working together towards gender equality and women's empowerment. By organizing this campaign, we hope to inspire action towards a more equal and empowering future for women.
