Call for tender: Full building conversion of existing fluorescent lighting to LED – EU Delegation to the UK

The Delegation of the European Union to the United Kingdom seeks to procure a contractor to undertake the full conversion of the existing fluorescent lighting to LED lighting at the Delegation premises situated at Europe House, 32 Smith Square, London SW1P 3EU.

Works include but are not limited to the following:

  • Procurement, supply and installation of new LED luminaires and associated equipment;
  • Removal or conversion of existing fluorescent luminaires to LED lighting;
  • Procurement, supply and installation of all emergency-lighting units 
  • Associated electrical works, testing, commissioning and certification;
  • Removal and lawful disposal of redundant fluorescent luminaires, lamps and associated equipment;
  • Making good following installation works; and
  • Provision of all required completion and handover documentation.

Execution of works expected to commence Feb 2027, with planning stage Jan 2027. Phased delivery with projected completion end of April 2027.

 

Contractors who wish to be invited to tender should send an email by 27 August 2026 expressing their interest to the functional mailbox: DELEGATION-UNITED-KINGDOM-ADMIN-TENDERS@eeas.europa.eu, indicating “Full building LED lighting conversion” in the subject.

 

Deadline to express your interest: 27/08/2026

Sending of invitation to tender (indicative date): 28/08/2026

Site visits (indicative dates): 07/09/2026 and 08/09/2026

Deadline to submit tenders: 18/09/2026
