The EU Delegation to the UK joins London Pride 2026 to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion
Staff from the EU Delegation, the European Parliament Liaison Office (EPLO) and the embassies of EU Member States joined the London Pride on Saturday 4 July, reaffirming the European Union's enduring commitment to promoting and protecting the rights of LGBTIQ+ people. As the UK's largest LGBTQ+ event, the London Pride Parade once again brought hundreds of thousands of people to the streets of central London to celebrate diversity, equality and inclusion.

This year's parade marked the EU Delegation's largest participation to date, featuring a dedicated Team Europe float and colleagues from across the European diplomatic community marching together in a visible expression of the EU's commitment to equality, human rights and non-discrimination.

The participation formed part of the EU Delegation's wider engagement during Pride Month, celebrating diversity while reaffirming the fundamental values on which the European Union is built. At the heart of every democracy lies a simple principle: no society can be complete without equality, dignity and the full inclusion of all its people.
Ahead of the parade, more than 20 Heads of Diplomatic Missions in the United Kingdom issued a joint statement. Together, they reaffirmed their shared commitment to defending the human rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and other diverse LGBTIQ+ people, both in the United Kingdom and around the world, while standing united against discrimination in all its forms.
