'Reflections on EU diplomacy' - a fireside discussion with Ambassador Serrano

This week, in partnership with the Centre of European Reform (CER), the Delegation hosted a fireside event with Ambassador Serrano in conversation with the CER's Ian Bond to reflect back on the Ambassador's diplomatic career and to weigh up the current status of EU-UK relations.

As Ambassador Serrano prepares to conclude his mandate this autumn, this special event, held under the Chatham House rule, offered an opportunity to reflect on more than four decades of diplomacy, the evolution of the European External Action Service since its launch in 2010, and the changing dynamics of the EU-UK relationship.
