A new chapter in EU-UK relations

On 14 May, the EU adopted its Horizon Europe Work Programme for 2025 making over €7.3 billion available to researchers, scientists and businesses across the EU and in its associated countries, including the UK. For this 2025 Work Programme, the UK has widened access to Horizon Europe, including in sensitive areas linked to quantum, space, AI, robotics and connected collaborative computing.

For the first time ever, the EU Delegation to the UK celebrated Europe Day itself outside London and traveled the proud city of Liverpool. On the invitation of Lord Mayor Richard Kemp, Metro Mayor Steve Rotheram, and City Council Leader Liam Robinson, ‘Liverpool Welcomed Europe’ on May 9th and 10th to celebrate the city’s strong historical and cultural European ties - building bonds for the future...

Within the framework of Europe Month 2025, featuring over 80 events across the whole of the UK on 7 May, the EU Delegation to the UK hosted in the heart of Westminster over 500 guests from across the political, diplomatic, and media communities for a vibrant day of unity, friendship, and cooperation.
