Celebrating 15 Years!

Kids Euro Fest is one of the largest performing arts festivals for children in America, bringing some of Europe’s most talented children’s entertainers to Washington, D.C. With programs for both the general public and school groups, more than 6,000 children and their families enjoy Kids Euro Fest programs each year.

Kids Euro Fest is made possible by the 27 European Union countries and the EU Delegation to the United States, in cooperation with Washington Performing Arts, la Maison Francaise, and DC Public Libraries.

Family Days

Experience a little bit of everything in one place! On the first and third Saturdays of October, the EU Delegation and participating Embassies will host numerous activities, workshops, and performances that are perfect for the whole family. Pick the day that works for you and register below!

Explore the MLK Central Library and experience European culture with the whole family! This day will feature Irish dance performances, DJ workshops from the Netherlands, a unique Italian history game, Lithuanian craft workshops, special readings of Denmark’s Hans Christian Andersen, beekeeping lessons from Slovenia, and more!

To close out Kids Euro Fest 2022, visit the French Embassy for a second day of European family fun! This day will feature musical performances from Austria and Germany, dance performances from Bulgaria, Cypriot drawing activities, Estonian sports and games, French VR workshops, fairy tale readings, and more!

Come experience this Finnish musical group of awesome women playing the Finnish national instrument, the kantele, with a modern approach!

Bring your family to a movie night at the Czech Embassy! Enjoy delicious apple cider and snacks while watching the enchanting film "Even Mice Belong in Heaven," which brings a little magic to a story of friendship.

Visit the Digital WanderbUS, a web-based interactive virtual field trip designed to educate about German language, culture, politics, science and history in a fun 3D environment.

Join Alliance Francaise DC at Bonjour Books for a European-focused bilingual story time, and tuck into some classic French pastries!

Did you know pollinators play a huge part in our fight against climate change? Learn about how these tiny (and not so tiny!) animals can improve our ecosystems, plus how to plant seeds and flowers that will  enhance our journey to a greener planet.

Ever seen people play the piano with tennis balls? How about backwards? Come join this fun Friday afternoon concert to learn more!

La Tour Eiffel: an iconic monument! Join Alliance Francaise DC for a fun arts and crafts atelier and become architects of your very own Tour Eiffel!

Come visit the Embassy of Sweden to enjoy a puppet show, get creative with arts and crafts, test your knowledge with a quiz and more!
October 23 Sweden 2 PM and 4 PM MLK Library (901 G Street NW, Washington,  D.C. 20001) I Want A Dog!
Enjoy a puppet theater performance from Swedish group Dockteaturn Tittut at MLK Library! 1-hour shows start at 2 PM and 4 PM.
