Ambassador Karl-Otto König met with Labour Minister Pablo Mieres

Ambassador Karl-Otto König and Labour Minister Pablo Mieres discussed the opportunities for cooperation between the European Union and Uruguay in the framework of the EU's Eurosocial + programme, in which Uruguay has previously participated.

They agreed that post-COVID-19 recovery requires further efforts to improve knowledge of labour market trends and to adapt training to generate more employment opportunities.
