Launch of the European Film Festival: Special Edition

On October 19, the European Film Festival was launched, in a special edition. It was attended by civilians representing Uruguayan society, the diplomatic corps, as well as journalists specialized in cinema, among others.
The Deputy Head of Mission of the European Union, Tomas Pospisil, gave a keynote speech to the event and welcomed the guests. Then the Spanish film "Abuel @ s" was screened, which will be part of the four European films that make up the festival.
Given the current health context, this festival was established as a special edition, having a reduced duration of four days.
The films that are part of the billboard are: the already mentioned Spanish "Abuel @ s"; the German "Wackersdorf"; the French “Je suis là” and the Italian “Nome di Donna”. All productions will be presented in their original language and with Spanish subtitles. These were selected in order to provide the Uruguayan population with a quality cultural recreation activity.
