The second day of the III European Investment Forum in Uruguay was as successful as the first

It was attended by the Undersecretaries of Industry, Tourism and Environment, as well as experts from the European Union

 

Today the second and last day of the III European Investment Forum in Uruguay took place. Organized by the EU Delegation, the Eurochamber in Uruguay and the Uruguayan Chamber of Commerce & Services within the framework of the EU InsPYraME project, the event was the third of its kind to take place in this country.

The Forum's third panel, on digitization of services and commerce, was moderated by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering of the ORT University (and Director of LATU, the Technological Laboratory of Uruguay) Eduardo Mangarelli, and was attended by Industry, Energy & Mining Undersecretary Walter Verri, EC expert negotiator on services Andrés Garcia Bermudez, Movistar Director of Institutional Relations Leticia Lago, and Nokia Uruguay CSO Gabriel Costa.

Meeting

The fourth panel, on green economy, was moderated by UNIDO representative Manuel Albaladejo, and was attended by Environment Undersecretary Gerardo Amarilla, Tourism Undersecretary Remo Monzeglio, DG Environment Director Astrid Schomaker, ENEL Director for South America Simone Tripepi, Veolia Argentina Manager for Public Services and Development Paula Bercovich, and Veolia Uruguay manager Andrés Dickson.

The Head of Economy and Trade of the EU Delegation, Damián Kaminski, closed the event by thanking all the panelists from both days and wishing the Forum will contribute to further stimulate European investment in Uruguay and good relations between the EU and this country.
