EU Day celebration 2022
After years of pandemic and restrictions for public events, the Europe Day in Uzbekistan was again celebrated in person. The celebration took place on 19 May at the State Conservatory of Uzbekistan. The guests were invited to listen to the Recital of Mozart’s Concerto No 21 by the world-famous pianist Wojciech Waleczek and the State Symphonic Orchestra of Uzbekistan.
The diplomatic corps of the European Union and other countries and international and government partners joined the EU Delegation at the concert and Reception to enjoy the performance of the world’s classic masterpieces.
As a cooperation gesture, the State Symphonic Orchestra under Ulugbek Makhmudov, with Alisher Navoi State Academic Big Theatre soloists and chorus, performed Beethoven’s Symphony No 9, the finale “Ode to Joy”.
The evening ended with a festive Reception at the Conservatory.
