Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Mohamed El Baradei visits the EU Delegation to the International Organisations in Vienna

On 2 March 2023, Ambassador Stephan Klement, EU Head of Delegation in Vienna welcomed his mentor and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Mohamed El Baradei, for a meeting with the Delegation staff to discuss various issues.

On 2 March 2023, Ambassador Stephan Klement had the pleasure and honour to welcome his mentor and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate, Mohamed El Baradei.

He came to the EU Delegation to discuss various subjects related to our work with the different UN organisations in Vienna and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). He shared his views on JCPOA, Iran Ukraine and many other issues, which were very inspiring and food for thought, especially as he has a strong relationship with the International Organisations in Vienna, since he is the former IAEA Director General (1997 until 2009)

Mr El Baradei especially highlighted the important and leading role the EU is playing, not only in Vienna but also globally.
