Explore the EU with the general EU knowledge courses

Summer of 2020, the Delegation of EU to Vietnam (The EUD) organizes a series of online courses on general EU knowledge. These series are delivered in French with Vietnamese and English subtitles by Dr. Hubert PETIT - Guinness World Record holder who achieved 33 university degrees.

This series of 08 lecture modules intended to bring about opportunities for Vietnamese in general and Vietnamese youngsters in particular to explore the genuine overall knowledge of EU. Moreover, these modules enlighten the formation, development, duties, internal and external policies of EU as well as its institutions. In addition, each lecture video also includes an interactive Q&A between students of the Faculty of Business Communication, Hanoi University and Dr. Hubert PETIT. Specifically, 08 lecture videos focus on topics such as: Construction of Europe; EC and EU treaties; EU institutions and bodies; EU political triangle; EU public finance; EU internal policies; Trade policy and cooperation and EU diplomacy.

General knowledge of EU is an annual course, developed by Dr. Hubert PETIT and taught to students of the Faculty of Business Communication of Hanoi University. This year, under the influence of Covid-19 pandemic, the course is conducted via online teaching platform - Google Meet. Essential parts of each module have been recorded, categorized and divided into short videos with Vietnamese subtitles, aired on the official Facebook page and Youtube channel of the EUD.

The series has attracted a lot of attention and positive reactions on social networks. Said Khanh Thy, a student of Faculty of Business Communications, “I was very excited and did not miss any videos in the course. Each lecture focused on a different topic about the European Union to help me easily follow and memorize knowledge. In addition to updating basic information, I also had a chance to exchange knowledge with other students and lecturer in Q&A section, which helped my knowledge more strengthened. This course is the key to help me take the first step on the journey to conquer my dream of discovering Europe”.

The course is conducted by the Delegation of the EU to Vietnam with the support of the Vietnam-EU Partnership Facility (EVPF), Hanoi University and Dr. Hubert PETIT.

EU-Vietnam Partnership Facility (EVPF)

The EU-Vietnam Partnership Facility (EVPF) aims to advance EU - Vietnam relations in key priority areas. The Facility is an intervention under the Partnership Instrument, which is a Foreign Policy Instrument promoting EU interests in third countries through policy dialogue, the improvement of market access, and better visibility of the EU in partner countries.

Dr. Hubert PETIT

Dr. Hubert PETIT is a record-setter in the World Guinness Book of Records with 33 university degrees. A medical doctor, epidemiologist, diplomat, ENA, lawyer, economist, financial auditor, professor of European studies.
