Improved Governance in Herbal Value Chain

The overall objective of this action is to promote the contribution of CSOs to improved governance in herbal medicine value chain.

The overall objective of this action is to promote the contribution of CSOs to improved governance in herbal medicine value chain.

Specific objectives:

  1. Openness of and access to information about herbal material zones and herbal recipes will be promoted.
  2. Awareness and practice of business integrity and CSR will be improved amongst members of herbal medicine value chains.
  3. Accountability & legitimacy of CSOs as development actors will be promoted.

Result 1: Information about herbal material zones and herbal recipes is collected and disseminated for free, using IT application.

Result 2: Business integrity (BI) and Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) become a common routine of herbal medicine value chains.

Result 3: CSOs are seen by local and central authorities, and by international development partners - as important development actors.
