I would like to thank you, Chair, and the DG for the way you are organising the Senior Officials meeting.

I do not have many comments, as we broadly agree with your proposal.

On the second day, we support the two sessions on trade and industrial policy as well as trade and environmental sustainability, as well as the time that has been allocated to them. These are very important topics, and having listened to the interventions today, there is clearly a need to enhance deliberation. Considering the high level of interest among Members, I wonder why some question the need for these two sessions.

Nevertheless, we found that the questions could be more forward-looking, focusing also beyond MC13 since we are looking for enhanced deliberations and discussions that cannot be exhausted at the MC13.

Finally, it would be useful to have a short political wrap-up on the next steps at the end of the Senior Officials meeting to help structure the process going forward, including a sense of perspective after the MC13.
