Specific Objectives of the Action

• Empowering communities to manage their own development objectives, and support them to diversify their livelihood support mechanism, which is compromised by natural resource degradation and protracted conflict, through agricultural development and the improvement of values chains 
• Enhancing the government's capacities to prioritise and formulate food security policies and strategies based on consultative mechanisms in which lower level governance strucutres become part of the decision-making process
