EU Multilateral Christmas Gala 2021

21.12.2021

The second EU Multilateral Christmas Gala took place on 18 and 19 December 2021, in Schlosstheater Schönbrunn in Vienna, Austria. The aim of the Gala is to show EU diversity and harmony, and also deliver the EU message by highlighting its policies and the importance of multilateralism and global sustainable partnerships. As the representation of the European Union, the EU Delegation in Vienna works with all UN bodies and agencies, the OSCE and other international organisations in Vienna. Multilateralism is a central element of the EU’s external policy, therefore, the Delegation is committed to contributing to the rules-based international order and multilateral cooperation. The Christmas Gala will contain performances combined with music, dance, and technology, highlighting multilateralism as well as European unity, solidarity, multilingualism, and cultural diversity of the European Union. Through the special musical arrangements and different genres, a trip through the European Union will be represented and will reflect the different EU languages and the cultural diversity. The Première of the Gala took place at the EXPO2020 in Dubai as the final event of the EU Honour Day on October 23, 2021.
