Objective: To develop and strengthen national and regional capacities for sustainable participatory management of coastal, marine and island specific biodiversity of the islands states and coastal states of the Eastern and Southern Africa and Indian Ocean region.
Location: Comoros, Madagascar, Mauritius, Seychelles, Kenya and Tanzania.
La Réunion (France) participated in the programme on its own funds (notably from the European Regional Development Fund).
