The project, implemented by Transparency International together with Transparency Maldives, aims to:

1. strengthen accountability and transparency by building the capacity of public officials and local communities;
2. educate and empower youth groups for social accountability of leaders and public institutions; and
3. strengthen local governance systems and processes through building dialogue, partnership,, and networks among local authorities.

The project is fully funded by the European Union and is worth EUR 500,000.
