The EU EOM met with all the presidential candidates in Honduras
With the aim of hearing their views on the general elections on 30 November, this week the European Union Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) met with all the presidential candidates who will be standing in 30 November elections.
On Tuesday, the Mission visited the headquarters of the political parties, where it was received by Salvador Nasralla, candidate for the Liberal Party of Honduras (PLH), Rixi Moncada, candidate for the Liberty and Refoundation Party (LIBRE), and Nasry Asfura, candidate for the National Party of Honduras (PNH).
The following day, the EU EOM held talks with Mario Rivera Callejas, presidential candidate for the Christian Democratic Party (DC). Today, this series of talks concluded with Nelson Ávila, candidate for the Innovation and Unity – Social Democratic Party (PINU-SD).
The main objective of the talks held in the Honduran capital was to hear the candidates' views on the electoral process, as part of the EU EOM's engagement with all political actors.
