EU EOM observers keep on with their work in the field. Every day, the Mission teams plan their routes to meet with all kinds of interlocutors.

In recent days, they have observed events and campaign closings for all political parties, in all four corners of Honduras. In addition, they attended training sessions for polling station staff and observed the TREP simulation in the capital and in the departments. They continued their meetings with municipal and departmental councils and observed the arrival of ballot boxes at collection centres.

They visited polling stations, observed the work of the National Registry of Persons, and were received by local authorities from the Public Ministry.

They met with students to discuss their right to vote.

The teams spoke with national observers in their departments, listened to local journalists about election coverage and the safety of their profession. They held talks with representatives of different indigenous groups, with organisations that support people with disabilities, and with representatives of the LGBTI community.

They even observed the European Union at a school in a rural area of Honduras!
