Follow the observation activities of #EUEOM on election day in Lebanon. This video shows how the complex machine of the #EUEOM in Lebanon worked during the election-day. In response to the invitation by the Lebanese Ministry of Interior and Municipalities, the European Union deployed an Election Observation Mission (EU EOM) to Lebanon to observe the 15 May 2022 parliamentary elections. The mission was headed by Chief Observer György Hölvényi, a Hungarian Member of the European Parliament, and it was composed by a core team of 10 election experts covering the different aspects of the electoral process. The mission included 30 long-term observers and 40 short-term observers. In total, the EU EOM deployed 167 observers from 27 EU Member States, Canada, Norway, and Switzerland, across the country to assess the electoral process.
