EUBAM Rafah - Vacancy Announcement – Various positions (4 posts)
The European Union Border Assistance Mission for the Rafah Crossing Point – code name EUBAM Rafah – was launched on 24 November 2005 to monitor the operations of the border crossing point between the Gaza Strip and Egypt, after Israel and the Palestinian Authority concluded an Agreement on Movement and Access on 15 November 2005. The Council of the European Union approved that the EU should undertake the third-party role proposed.
EUBAM Rafah is currently seeking dynamic, highly skilled candidates for immediate recruitment to fill the following Four (4) vacancies:
- SECL 01 Mission Security Assistant (1 post): main responsibilities are related to providing security and operational support to Mission staff, monitoring the security situation, and supporting security procedures, risk assessments and travel arrangements.
- HRL 02 Human Resources Officer (1 post): main responsibilities are related to recruitment, staff administration, training, HR records and systems, and supporting payroll and other HR-related processes.
- HRL 03 Human Resources Assistant/Travel (1 post): main responsibilities are related to coordinating official travel and entitlements, maintaining HR and travel records, and providing administrative support to the HR Office.
- HoML 02 Protocol/Administrative Officer (1 post): main responsibilities are related to protocol, liaison and administrative support to the Head of Mission and Deputy Head of Mission, including official visits, events and coordination with external stakeholders.
Employment regime: Locally Contracted Staff hired under Israeli Local Labor Law

General employment/eligibility requirements: Education and professional experience, as well as proficiency in English, Arabic and Hebrew, as specified in the relevant Job Description; a valid identification document permitting employment and unrestricted movement within the Mission’s area of operations; medical fitness for work; and a clean criminal record.
IMPORTANT: Work is expected to be performed physically at the Mission offices in Ramat Gan, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be able to make the necessary arrangements to travel to and from the office premises on a daily basis. Applicants must hold a valid local identification document or work permit authorising employment at the Mission.
