The Head of Mission of EUAM RCA met with H.E. General Bienvenu Zokoué, Minister of Interior and Public Security (MISP), accompanied by the Head of Operations of EUAM RCA and the Ministry’s Strategic Adviser for Organisational Consolidation, to discuss ongoing cooperation and the main priorities related to the development of the Internal Security Forces in the Central African Republic.
Particular attention was given to the future framework law on the organisation of the internal security system, one of the Government’s priority reforms. Requested by H.E. the President of the Republic and developed by the Central African authorities with the technical support of EUAM RCA, the framework law aims to strengthen the legal and institutional foundations of the security system in the Central African Republic.
The meeting also highlighted the strong partnership developed between EUAM RCA and the Ministry in support of security sector reform. Through targeted equipment projects and infrastructure renewal, EUAM RCA has contributed to the development of the skills of numerous police and gendarmerie personnel across the country, thereby supporting stronger institutions.
