Within the framework of the National Border Management Plan, the European Union Advisory Mission in the Central African Republic, (EUAM RCA) supports the modernization of the Central African Customs Administration and the strengthening of the justice chain. During a one-week training on the digital drafting of customs reports, ten Customs Judicial Police Officers — half of them women — enhanced their ability to harmonize procedures and promote digitalization, strengthening professionalism and accountability within the service.
The closing ceremony, attended by the Acting Head of Mission, highlighted the importance of transparency and efficiency as pillars of good governance. By improving the way Customs officers document and share information, the EU helps promote fairer trade, stronger border management, and better protection of natural resources — benefits that serve both the Central African Republic and its European partners.
