The Head of Mission of the European Union Advisory Mission in the Central African Republic (EUAM RCA) attended the opening of the third edition of the “Diplôme d’état-major” at the General Directorate of the National Gendarmerie.
The course brings together 22 officers to strengthen command, operational planning and management capacities—supporting more effective decision-making and clearer chain-of-command practices within the internal security forces. Delivered by national instructors with international support, it reinforces leadership at a critical level.
EUAM RCA supports the programme through financial assistance and targeted advisory input, while contributing directly to modules on its mandate, human rights and gender, and first aid—promoting professional standards aligned with international norms.
“Strong leadership is essential to ensure effective command, accountability and public trust. This training strengthens state authority and supports professional internal security services for the population,” said the Head of Mission.
This activity reflects EUAM RCA’s continued support to the Central African authorities in strengthening institutional capacity and advancing sustainable security sector reform.
