The Head of Mission of EUAM RCA, Gail Van Hoever, met with H.E. Alain Leroy and H.E. Pérez-Gómez, Ambassadors of the Kingdoms of Belgium and Spain to the Central African Republic (non-resident, based in Cameroon), as part of ongoing engagement with EU Member States active in the country.
In the context of ongoing discussions in Brussels on the future of the Mission’s mandate, discussions focused on the current security situation, the work carried out by EUAM RCA, and future priorities and projects.
Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening coordination and ensuring greater coherence of EU and Member States’ efforts in support of security sector reform.
The Head of Mission expressed appreciation to both Belgium and Spain for their continued support to EUAM RCA, notably through the contribution of personnel.
This engagement contributes to reinforcing a coordinated and impactful European approach in support of stability, rule of law and institutional development in the Central African Republic.
