EUAM RCA and the Central African National Gendarmerie have marked a new milestone in their partnership with the official handover of IT equipment and the completion of rehabilitation works at the Gendarmerie’s Human Resources Office (BRH). The initiative forms part of a broader effort to modernise human resources management and strengthen institutional capacity within the National Gendarmerie.
The ceremony, attended by the Head of Mission EUAM RCA and the Director General of the National Gendarmerie, marked the completion of rehabilitation works providing BRH personnel with a more functional working environment.
“Our objective goes beyond providing equipment or delivering individual training activities. By bringing together skills, organisation, infrastructure and digital tools, we are supporting our Central African partners in building sustainable institutional capacity and achieving lasting results,” said the Head of EUAM RCA.
BRH personnel have benefited from intermediate-level human resources training aimed at further professionalising HR practices and working methods. At the same time, IT equipment, RH management training and support has been provided to clarify the organisation of the Office and the responsibilities of its different services, complementing the infrastructure improvements.
The partnership also extends beyond Bangui. EUAM RCA has supported basic-level HR training for personnel from key Gendarmerie units and the provinces, contributing to the gradual development of a national network of trained HR personnel and strengthening the connection between central and territorial structures.
These different strands of support are also creating the conditions for the effective and sustainable use of the Human Resources Information System. Its success depends not only on technology, but on trained personnel, clear responsibilities, appropriate infrastructure and the institutional capacity to use and sustain it.
The Director General of the National Gendarmerie thanked EUAM RCA for the importance and continuity of its support as a partner, stressing that the improved infrastructure, new equipment and strengthened capacities will contribute to more modern and effective human resources management within the National Gendarmerie.
The work with the BRH reflects EUAM RCA’s broader approach to capacity building: combining strategic advice, training and practical support to translate partnership into sustainable institutional capacity.
