EUAM RCA supports launch of interoperable border coordination space at Port Amont

EUAM RCA continues to support Central African authorities in strengthening operational coordination and integrated border management. In this context, the Mission supported the launch of works for an interoperable space at Port Amont, designed to enhance cooperation between services and reinforce the operational capacity of Central African Customs.

Following several weeks of administrative, technical and interinstitutional coordination, works began. An initial constraint—linked to the presence of seized materials on the designated site—was resolved through coordinated action with the Ministry of Justice, enabling the site to be cleared and works to proceed.

This step reinforces lawful, coordinated management of border areas and enables the practical implementation of interoperability between services.

By facilitating coordination and ensuring compliance with legal procedures, EUAM RCA contributes to improved information sharing, reduced delays and faster clearance, supporting operational cooperation and nationally led reforms in border management.
