As part of its mandate to support internal security sector reform in the Central African Republic, EUAM RCA conducted an inter-agency training in Bangui on the drafting of official records (procès-verbaux – PV) for Judicial Police Officers from the Customs and Water and Forestry services. The activity aimed to strengthen procedural quality as a core component of the criminal justice chain, ensuring traceability, legal certainty, and compliance with mandatory procedural requirements.
The training focused on professional standards for drafting official records, including chronological consistency, evidentiary integrity, and methodological rigour, while integrating a dedicated human rights component. This engagement illustrates EUAM RCA’s added value by providing strategic and methodological advisory support that reinforces institutional capacities, promotes inter-agency interoperability, and supports nationally led reforms in line with EU and international standards.
