Head of Mission meets German Defence Attaché to discuss security situation in the Central African Republic
The Head of Mission of EUAM RCA received Dr Boris Bovekamp, Colonel and Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Abuja, Nigeria, for an exchange on the evolving security situation in the Central African Republic and ongoing cooperation in support of security sector reform.
Colonel Bovekamp, who assumed responsibility for defence coverage of the Central African Republic in September 2025, is currently undertaking his first official visit to the country in this capacity. In addition to the Central African Republic, he is also responsible for defence coverage in Benin, Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea.
The meeting provided an opportunity to exchange views on current security dynamics, underline the importance of continued cooperation with EU Member States and international partners, and highlight the work carried out by EUAM RCA in support of the Central African Republic’s internal security forces and long-term institutional strengthening.
