Safer Prisons, Stronger Justice: EUAM RCA Visits Ngaragba Prison

A safe and effective prison administration is essential to the credibility of the justice system and to lasting security.

The Head of Mission of EUAM RCA visited Ngaragba Prison in Bangui, accompanied by the Mission’s Strategic Adviser for Interoperability and Prison Administration.

During her meeting with the Prison Governor, the Head of Mission listened to the concerns and challenges faced by the institution, assessed the current security situation and reviewed priority operational needs.

Discussions focused on prison security and on strengthening coordination and interoperability among the relevant services.

Direct dialogue with national partners enables the Mission to adapt its strategic advice and capacity-building activities to realities on the ground. It also helps translate identified needs into concrete areas of cooperation, thereby strengthening national ownership and the effectiveness of the Mission’s action.

The visit reaffirmed EUAM RCA’s commitment to its partnership with the Central African authorities. Through dialogue, expertise and sustained cooperation, the Mission continues to support stronger institutions and the development of a safer and more resilient prison system in the Central African Republic.
