From 9 to 13 February 2026, a high-level delegation from the European External Action Service, together with representatives of the Civilian Operations Headquarters (CivOps HQ), conducted an official visit to the Central African Republic in preparation for the strategic review of EUAM RCA. EUAM RCA’s current mandate runs until 7 August 2026.
Composed of seven senior strategic planners based in Brussels, the delegation held consultations with national authorities to discuss mandate implementation, ongoing cooperation, and priorities related to security sector reform within the framework of the EU’s Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), implemented through the civilian mission EUAM RCA.
The exchanges addressed a range of issues, including priorities, challenges, national ownership, coordination, and the evolving security context.
The visit forms part of the ongoing strategic review process, which will inform discussions among EU Member States on the future orientation of EUAM RCA.
