Stronger human resources management is key to building effective and accountable security institutions.

From 4 to 22 May 2026, EUAM RCA, in partnership with the General Directorate of the National Gendarmerie, is supporting a three-week training in Bangui focused on recruitment and workforce management.

The opening at EUAM RCA headquarters brought together Acting Head of Mission Ms Silvia Chiarelli and Squadron Leader KEMBI Jacob, Head of the Gendarmerie’s Human Resources Office.

“An integrated human resources management system is a key tool for ensuring more effective, transparent and well-managed personnel administration,” said Ms Chiarelli.

With EUAM RCA’s support, the Central African Gendarmerie continues to align its practices with international standards, structuring key processes and strengthening administrative capacity.

This activity is part of EUAM RCA’s ongoing support to internal security forces, contributing to stronger governance and operational effectiveness in line with security sector reform efforts.
