6th Joint Committee meeting between EUBAM Libya and Libyan counterparts

The Joint Committee is the main meeting in which Libyan authorities and EUBAM Libya review and plan joint activities. It provides a strategic forum for exchange and future planning. On 14 December, the sixth Joint Committee meeting was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Tripoli.

The Head of Mission, Jan Vyčítal, presented Mission activities since the last Joint Committee (7 September) and gave an outlook for the upcoming six-months with focus on land borders with Tunisia and further support to maritime authorities and countering migrant smuggling.

This Joint Committee meeting was the last for Jan Vyčítal, as his two years’ term as Head of Mission comes to an end on 31 December 2025. Libyan partners thanked him for his work and commitment in deepening the partnership between Libyan authorities and the Mission.
