Child protection in armed conflicts

EUCAP Sahel Mali seminar tackles child protection in armed conflicts.

Children are a particularly vulnerable group in society and therefore need special protection, especially during armed conflicts. Internal security forces play a key role in protecting children and prosecuting violations of their rights.

In this context, EUCAP Sahel Mali supported an in-depth training on child protection for gendarmes, which took place at the Command of the Gendarmerie Schools and Training Centers. The aim was to prevent, identify and handle situations in which children are at risk.
