Emergency Medicine Training: Rescue Faster to Save Lives

EUCAP Sahel Mali has supported training in "emergency and disaster medicine" aimed at strengthening the capacities of firefighters in the face of a massive influx of victims during natural disasters or terrorist attacks.

The training organised by the General Directorate of Civil Protection was intended for doctors and paramedical staff of the Malian Civil Protection.

This session aimed to improve the initial care of the injured, particularly in the event of an accident, and to prepare the Civil Protection teams to intervene effectively in the field. It also aimed to strengthen coordination between all the actors involved: doctors, firefighters, nurses, stretcher-bearers, drivers, etc.
