Children are a particularly vulnerable group in society and therefore need special protection, especially during armed conflicts.

Internal security forces play a key role in protecting children and prosecuting violations of their rights.

In this context, EUCAP Sahel Mali supported an in-depth training on child protection for gendarmes, police officers et fire fighters which took place at the Staff School of the Security Forces. The aim was to prevent, identify and handle situations in which children are at risk.
